Class Description

In this three-part cooking series, Favorite and Fun After-School Snacks is a hands-on, interactive cooking experience designed to help students explore healthy, creative snack choices that fuel their bodies, minds, and daily activities. Through cooking, tasting, and teamwork, students will learn: *Why nutrition matters for growing bodies and active minds *How to make smart snack swaps without giving up flavor *How traditional values of balance, respect for food, and sharing connect to healthy living Each day includes simple cooking skills, colorful ingredients, and student-approved flavors—making healthy snacks feel fun, achievable, and empowering. Recipes will include: Mini Whole-Wheat Turkey & Veggie Wraps, Rainbow Veggie Cups with Yogurt Dip, Apple Nachos, Southwest Chicken Snack Bowls, Baked Sweet Potato Wedges, Cheese & Fruit Kabobs, Quesadilla Dippers and No-Bake Chocolate Energy Bites.
