Class Description
Join us for four exciting days of after-school activities where tradition comes alive through creativity! This hands-on workshop invites Ute Mountain Ute youth ages 8–14 to explore their rich cultural heritage through beading and moccasin making, all in preparation for the Bear Dance. Elders and culture bearers will guide you through the stories, songs, and language connected to the Bear Dance, while you learn traditional beading techniques and craft your very own pair of moccasins. Come connect with your roots, express yourself through Native art, and take pride in creating something meaningful to wear and share at one of our most powerful cultural celebrations. Snacks and supplies will be provided—just bring your curiosity and your hands ready to create!
